Found one of mine that hasn't been graded yet, but I love it a lot and I want to share it. It's very roughly based on a trip I took to Japan about three years ago, entitled English as a Second Language. It's one of my more personal poems, since these experiences are more or less my own (including the woman in the hotel. I didn't make that up, I swear XD). Enjoy!

This actually shouldn't be too bad for me. The thing I didn't like about poetry is rhyme and all that cheesy structural crap, and luckily, Zagorski seems to not want that, either. He made if perfectly clear at the beginning of this unit that if we did anything but free-verse, he would eat our faces. o_o And I like my face, so his request was easy to meet.
This poem that I'm submitting first is kind of a fictional, quasi-fantastical story of unfulfilled romance. It's actually based on two characters from a (you won't believe it when you read the poem) supernatural/drama story I'm working on. Anyway, it's called Offerings. Enjoy!

This week's episode, I can happily say OMFGWTFBBQOHSNAPHOLYFUCKINGSHITOHMYGODAS
And that's all I have to say on the matter.
So, Halloween's tomorrow. I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with my costume. I'm going as a vampire. But a dude vampire. Cross-dressing FTW. Unfortunately I think there are going to be a bunch of vampires around because of the Twilight phenomenon. *groan* in case anyone reading this didn't already know, I'm hugely cynical about Twilight. I read about three or four chapters and was already sick of Bella.
In other costume news I'm also pretty bummed about something T_T the company that I ordered my PERFECT purple brocaded coat for my Robespierre cosplay from just sent me a letter saying the item is no longer available. And my mom seems to think that despite how many damn times I've searched, a purple brocade coat will be available for purchase at a reasonable price. I might have to cancel the Robespierre cosplay, unless I can bribe her to help me make it. TT____TT I need the fabric.
In other news, I've gotten A LOT of poetry and short stories back from my CW teacher, so look for some more posts to my Creative Writing Log sometime in the future. :D

I post sporadically, I know. Life has gotten in my way. A LOT.
So I'm RIGHT AT THE CUSP of finishing all my general college application stuff. Two of my three teachers have reported that they're done with my recommendations, one sent them already. I just gotta copy my short answers from MSWord into the little boxes for the supplements. Playstation 3, here I come! :D *glee*
And I couldn't post on Friday because my dear friend Aaron (my matchmaker to whom I am eternally indebted X3) was having his birthday party. And since I'd never seen Rocky Horror Picture Show until that day, I figured "why not?" IT WAS SO WEIRD. But still quirky and amusing. I had "Dammit Janet" stuck in my head for the better part of the day today >_> and then proceeded to replace it with "Pretty Women" from Sweeney Todd. Because those two are so interchangeable.
And I had a choir concert that Thursday. Which meant a lot of preparations went into it. My friends in higher level choir sounded SO AMAZING. But I think I've been hanging around them too often, because if I just look in their general direction when they're singing, I can hear their INDIVIDUAL voices. XD it's so weird.
And we finished something in Anime Club (so early in the year). KARAS was freaking AWESOME. Great way to begin the year: violence, armor, and an overacting megalomaniac with purple eyeshadow. Who speaks in Ye Olde English. His and Hers is probably going to get the boot, simply because we'll have too much high school themed anime at a time. Eh. Read the manga. All I have to offer that isn't high school-themed is Outlaw Star, Gurren Lagann, Utawarerumono and half of Trigun. I was on a Wolfwood kick, so I only bought the DVDs with Wolfwood episodes XD deep regret. I'm probably gonna put in 1 or 4. A bunch of people want to see Trigun again, and I approve. *snrk* I guess if we want to go the yuri route I could find the last DVD of Kannazuki no Miko. IT'S LIKE GUNDAM WING MEETS MARIMITE. Lesbians and dudes in mechs. Teh awesome. And all my other high school anime is, yup, shounen-ai based on BL games. Although, in my defense, Gakuen Heaven made more sense than Sukisho.
My Creative Writing class has, for the moment, moved on from short fiction to poetry. As soon as I get my latest poem batch back I'll post them in my CW Log. I'm actually quite happy with one of the poems. :3
And I'm in the mood to draw yaoi. I don't know why. o_o

Why I Love It:
I have a fairly easy job: I clock in every day, I re-sensitize checked in books and sort them on the carts in the back room, I check out/renew books, I straighten chairs, I help my "manager" put up and tear down our displays, and I teach freshmen how to use the copy machines. The rest of the time I'm basically reading a book, drawing, or talking with the lady I work with at the desk, Mrs. Johnson.
I gotta say, the NICEST people in the world seem to work at libraries. I often find myself chatting with Mrs. Johnson or the other librarian I interact with the most, Mrs. Barnett. All three of us like animals (cats in particular) and have a genuine appreciation for the arts, so we talk about varied subjects. I've also gotten a lot of really good book recommendations.
The best part: dear God, the conversations I take part in/overhear. During seventh period, unless classes are scheduled to meet, the library is COMPLETELY VACANT except for a few errant kids; we get a lot of down time to do the above mentioned chatting. Some conversations are fun. We ended up talking about pets we've owned at one point. Then one day, I swear, I had a conversation with Mrs. Johnson that, in about twenty minutes, had gone from the Presidential Debate and Obama/McCain in general to gay heroes in sci-fi/fantasy novels. Today was particularly fun. The Usual Suspects (me, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Barnett) were talking about the upcoming library events for Halloween and talk turned to costumes and such.
Mrs. B: Oh, Mrs. Johnson has the best costumes!
Me: Oh, like RenFaire stuff? (*Mrs. Johnson is very into RenFaire and the like)
Mrs. B: Well in general! I hope this year we can bring back the leather stuff.
Mrs. J: Oh yeah!
Me: *VERY confused* Uhh...
Mrs. B: Let's hope Halloween goes well this year! Librarians in Leather would be fun to do! *she leaves, I wave goodbye, but am still confused*
(awkward silence)
Me: "Librarians in Leather..." sounds like a risque novel O_o
Mrs. J: Yeah a bit XD
Why I Dislike It:
"Hate" is a bit of a strong word. I haven't been here long enough to "hate" anything, but here's some of the things that tick me off a bit.
...IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE THE COPIER? I mean, complicated jobs I understand (like one guy today needed to make double-sided copies of a recommendation form), but basic copying from a book? PUSH THE GREEN BUTTON.
Lulz. Seems some underclassmen sometimes forget that because I have the free period to work in the library I have seniority over them, so they act like idiots. And I choose to be here, for the little pay that I receive (which will immediately be spent at ACen), but dealing with them is NOT part of my job description. When I'm reading (The Subtle Knife...very riveting), I tend to look up a lot, just to make sure nobody's approaching the front desk and I don't seem like an ignorant Librarian Assistant. So a whole group of probably sophomores--three dudes, one lady-- were leaving the library, stampin' their passes and stuff (as an aside that time stamp is freaking LOUD), when two of the guys very suddenly start holdin' hands. In my mind I'm going "AWWW if they're being sincere that's so adorable!!! X3" but I don't want to just suddenly start squealing so I just kinda glance casually, at the same time checking for other people leaving in case they have books to check out. Suddenly one of the other kids says something along the lines of "quit acting so GAY." My Civil Rights Ear immediately heard the off-color comment and I whipped my head in the direction of said comment. Then the dumbasses shouted (despite that we were in a LIBRARY), "Don't judge us!" as they walked out. And I could tell they didn't really mean it.
I felt a little bad for staring, but I had a good laugh later. If only that one straight guy in the bunch knew I've probably crushed on/dated much more attractive and appealing girls than he'll ever meet...I almost wanted to tell them to come back in on the Day of Silence to see how supportive they REALLY are.
According to Mrs. J, the end of the grading period marks a lot of turn-ins. Which means a lot of re-organizing for me, especially fiction. This might qualify as something I'm neutral to, because the Obsessive-Compulsive Me likes re-organizing books. XD I'm so weird...
I've noticed a pattern already...Why is it WHENEVER THE LIBRARIANS HAVE A MEETING, EVERYBODY COMES IN WITH PROBLEMS I EITHER CAN'T FIX OR AM NOT ALLOWED TO FIX? Either that or their problems are boring. XD
"Hi, I have a late fee to pay." "Er, I'm not allowed to handle money. BRB."
"Can I check in my book?" "Uh...put it in the drop box?" *not allowed to physically check books back in*
"Hi, can you tell me where to find (blah blah blah)" "O_o...uhhh...BRB."
"Will you sign my pass?" "Dude, I'm a year younger than you, and there's a time stamp over there."

Another new idea! See this is what happens when I go away for a long time. I then start posting like crazy.
I'm gonna start posting some stories that I do for my Creative Writing class at school. Some of 'em aren't that great, but I'll upload my favorites every now and then. First up is from the first assignment: two three-page stories on anything we want. This one's a romance/friendship story entitled With Regards to Ludwig and the Mannequin (complete with Zagorski revisions! XD)

Proving I haven't crashed my car into a ditch lately and I'm still here. Just, school started and it's all a bit hectic. Because even though I'm not taking THAT many academics (woo seniority woo), two of them are APs. So I find myself very "BLARGH I am ded" when I'm done with homework and I just don't have the energy to post.
But a lot of stuff's happened! So here goes.
School is very schoolish. Nothing's really changed except I have such a nice and lenient schedule. All of my classes AND my locker are in the same building, joyous day. I'm enjoying my classes a lot, even Government. The teacher's funny, which helps. My two art classes rock; I'm actually really enjoying Ceramics. Drawing and Design can get a little boring, but it's the technical side of art, which I will eventually need -__- sometimes I wish they made more classes for people who DON'T want to spend their life drawing still life portraits, or an installation piece that's about the environment, or sketchy drawings of naked women.
........although.....hmm...
....*drool*....
...Sorry. Post to finish. *cough cough*
SO MUCH COLLEGE CRAP. OH MY GOD. I'm drowning in recommendation forms and pre-applications and essay rubrics and AHHHHHH. Dear God. I'm going to be pretty frazzled from now till December x_x
Anime Club has KICKED ASS so far. We have so many new members it's frightening. And KARAS and Kare Kano are a huge hit. As is Hana Yori Dango, even though it's kinda skippy.
This weekend was loads of fun. I had two parties, one was an Anti-Homecoming and the other was a birthday party for a friend. Anti-Homecoming we just played Eternal Darkness and watched Total Drama Island and Airplane! Apparently my friend Shiro is trying to find the Sanity Effect where a picture of Jesus suddenly appears and then he starts crying blood or something O_o it's a weird game. We already got the "healing spell explodes your body" and the "walking on the ceiling" one. We even got the one where bugs crawl across the screen! And the volume adjusty one, which was the first one to really freak the shit out of me.
The birthday party was great. I was in a basement with four guys and two other girls (who left early) playing Rock Band 2. They forced me on vocals a couple of times >_> but oh my GOD. I don't know why he decided to do this, but I love him for it. Alex, fellow Anime Club leader and secondary vocalist, decided that when it came time to play "One Way Or Another," he would do it a la YuGiOh Abridged. So, he ended up doing two songs as Kaiba, Joey, Tristan, Tea and Yami. My God, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
Anyway, in most recent news, I finally have a job! :D my school had an opening working in the library third, fourth, and seventh period. Well my free period is seventh, and there's just...no way in hell that Barnes and Noble will ever call me back, it seems, so I took the leap. It's a paid position and I'm still around books. so now I'm happy. And I probably got it considering how relieved Mrs. Dettling (the lady I'll be working for) seemed when I asked about the job.
Well, that's all for now! I'll be going to Six Flags on Sunday. Some old family friends of mine invited me on a day where the place that the mom of the house works gets private access to all day. I can finally ride Raging Bull more than once per visit. I'm thinking of getting a fake peony tattoo (since I gave one to my Ran character in Rock Band 2) and freaking out some people with it. They know I'm a senior, and they probably think I turned 18 a few weeks ago. Muhaha. It won't be as cool as going on Gay Day, though. That was just so prideful. *tear in the eye*

The ride was fairly uneventful, I must say. It felt pretty nice not having anyone else in the car with me XD however I do want to find a way to plug my music in so I don't have to listen to the radio. I don't think we have an iPod-specific jack in the car, so there's probably some plus we'd have to by.
Anyway, the ride WAS uneventful until the ride back. I was driving down the road when this one car was turning into a neighborhood, and this white van didn't see me coming out and nearly rammed into the side of my freaking car. Luckily I braked in enough time, but JEEZ. Jumpstart my heart. -__-
Oh, and my birthday is next Saturday! Rock! I just did some last-minute orderings from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged Store. I'm expecting a "Super Special Awesome" and "Catapult Turtle" t-shirt, along with the button set.
Your mother plays card games in HELL.

Anyway, I think we're a real varsity leader team this year. We've got a GREAT plan this year to both keep order and have a great time. We've structured the first semester for our anime to be "Leader's Choice," and we've completely organized what we're watching and when. I unloaded both of my powerhouse series on last year's club (I was saving Le Chevalier d'Eon for this year ^^;), but two of the series I had to offer made it into the first semester.
Semester One Anime
KARAS: The Prophecy/Revelation (WOO SPECIAL EFFECTS AND VIOLENCE)
Hana Yori Dango (Anna's J-Dorama)
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu (well I'd have to see it eventually XD)
His and Her Circumstances (Best worst ending EVER).
We also have Witch Hunter Robin, Utawarerumono and a couple other series on backup in case something happens. If we don't get enough club members bringing in their own stuff, leader anime will roll over.
Our new leader, Alex, is extremely ambitious, and I think that's affecting the general atmosphere. We have a lot of fun out-of-school activities in the works, including his Sports Fest idea. We also want to put on a Pop Culture dance medley for the World's Fair, because I think we'd been talking about participating in the World's Fair performances since I was a sophomore o_o
My idea for putting in one of the dances I learned at Mori no Ike was accepted, and I'm deciding between "Tarako Tarako Tarako" and "Odore! Soran Para Para." They're both fun, and Tarako's creepy. Maybe we should show the dances and let the club vote, either at the actual meeting or on the blog o_o I have no clue how to embed videos onto the blog.
Anyway. I'm actually really psyched about this upcoming year. And mine, Tori's and Anna's LAST D:

Oh.
My.
GOD.
IT WAS SO AWESOME AND WOW OHMYGOD I CAN'T STOP GUSHING ABOUT IT.
So of course I have to start with what everyone is talking about: the late Heath Ledger as The Joker.
I can honestly say that I'm even more upset by Ledger's death than I was when I first heard of it simply after seeing this movie. I was watching and thinking, "That is NOT Ennis Del Mar under that makeup!" He. Was. SO. GOOD.
Not to discredit the other actors' performances (Aaron Eckhart's performance as Harvey Dent/Two-Face was extremely memorable, and I love Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon), but wow. Didn't know you had it in you, Heath. Rest in peace.

GODDAMN THIS YEAR WAS JUST AS FUN AS LAST YEAR. Except that I wasn't there for as long. Waah. T_T
So I was in the two-week program, which is a bit more lenient than the four-week program (I didn't like the "Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji Study Time" though >_>). We get two clubs instead of one, and our classes are pretty basic. Through Uta (Song) Club, unfortunately, I've found that I don't like Gackt's voice as much as I thought I did. He doesn't enunciate very well, which makes it rather bothersome to sing his songs. If I have to pick other faves, I'm gonna go with MIYAVI in second place and Atsushi Sakurai (the lead singer of BUCK-TICK) in first. That man has a voice that is sex, ohmahgawd. Don't believe me?
Dress
Romance
PURE. F**KING. SEX. And this is coming from the lesbo.
Anyway. Back to Mori no Ike. My moral about foreign language study, after my experience: PRIVATE TUTORING HELPS. Seriously. In one year, I went from the lowest level to the highest level. A little scary, but very exciting.
Rachel had a super-bitchin' time as well. I'm glad I managed to take her along with me. She was really sad to leave, though. Next year, I said.
God, Death Note really has EXPLODED in the last year. I actually had a conversation about the cool characters with one of the sensei; that's how huge it's gotten. Naturally Mello is the coolest. Don't fight it. Accept it. >_>
Speaking of anime, Gonzo owes me more money now. I convinced about four people to watch Gankutsuou and I convinced two of my friends who had already seen it to watch it again.
Near the end of the first week I ended up getting into the gay circle of Mori no Ike. Three camp members (who are absolutely fabulous in every sense of the word) saw my tag and declared me a member of the "mailing list." And there was (finally) actually another gay FEMALE there. Rarity among rarities!
More on my camp adventures at a later date.
